Do VA Benefits Affect Social Security Disability?

The VA has a completely different rating system than the Social Security Disability office. The administration has to consider the VA rating but they are not bound to accept it.

If someone is getting VA benefits is that going to impact what they receive from the social security administration. The VA has a couple programs and one is pension. Pension is given to a veteran who served during war time and have become disabled. If they are receiving a pension and they apply for supplemental security income they are not going to be able to go forward with it. The Pension income exceeds which is allowed by the social security income. You can not receive both but you can receive which ever is greater. You can get social security disability and the VA service connected benefits.
